Mr and Mrs A. Flame are looking to buy a farm house in Burnsville, a known bushfire danger area. They have come to you, Mr Squirt, the local Fire Chief to ask for your help.

They are looking for a house that will give them the greatest chance of survival should a bushfire come knocking at their door.

After visiting all the real estate agents in Burnsville and looking at pictures of farm houses they have narrowed it down to eight houses at Red Hot Real Estate Office. They have asked you to tell them which THREE would be the most likely to survive a bushfire.

It's a hard and important decision with many factors to consider.

Your Task:

Which house will you recommend as the safest house for Mr and Mrs Flame to purchase?

Points to Consider:

What are the main dangers facing rural homes during bushfires?

Are some homes more in danger than others?

What precautions should a householder take to be ready for a bushfire?
