General Manager, access & equity Visit to Riverina..
Deonne Smith, General Manager, Access and Equity visited a number of schools in the Riverina last week. She visited Wyalong PS, West Wyalong PS, West Wyalong HS, the Lake Cowal Conservation Centre and Ungarie CS. This provided Deonne with an overview of the great work CAP schools and their networks are doing! Here she is being presented with an art work from local Wyalong PS student Jake.

Term 1 – Stage 3 Collie’s Neighbours (registrations open late term 4, 2009)
HSIE BOS unit, "Study of a Cultural Group".
Learning outcomes CUS3.3 and CUS3.4 Collie visits his friends in some of Australia's neighbouring countries. He has so many to visit in the Asian and Pacific regions that he is sure to get lost.
Term 2 – Stage 2 Astro Collie Earth and its Surroundings ES S2.6 Join our little gnome as he ventures out into our solar system and beyond, exploring the planets, moons, comets and stars.Where will he go? What will he find?
Term 3 – Stage 1 Collie’s Garden Party
S&T "Living Things"
LT S1.3, UT 1.9 and INV S1
Collie is having a garden party. He is going to ask 20 of his little mini beast friends to come to the party.... but his Mum is only allowing him to ask ten to stay for the sleepover. Who will he choose?

Facilitating a Video Conference Meeting Guide
The Rural and Distance Education Unit in collaboration with rural Regional staff have been working on a guide to assist teachers, consultants and students to facilitate effective meetings via video conference. The document aims to ensure that the video conference link is engaging and encourages all participants to be collaborative during the meeting process. The guide includes checklists, meeting agendas, different processes and tools to enable collaboration and sample meeting scenarios. The pdf version of this guide and useful word documents are available for download from this website.
